With all of the choices of e-cigarettes out there you may wonder which one proves to be the best bang for your buck. After reviewing and trying many different set-ups and blister packs, I will give you my unbiased opinion on the best e-cig starter pack for a newbie. One of the first decisions is "What size battery do I want?" The sizes range from around 90mah for a blu disposable ecig to 2200 mah, which was just released. The size of the battery in these starter packs only affect the time it will last before the next charge. Of course the size of the battery also determines the length and width of the actual pen. If you want small and discreet then you can go with the 350mah or even a 650mah. I recently bought a ego 2200mah and man does it last. That sucker will last at least 3 days for the average vaper. I have added a vaping chart below to show approximately how long each battery will last.
(mAh means "milliamp hour")
The size of the battery has nothing to do with vapor output or stronger hits etc. Most of these starter packs come with a battery that is not adjustable. I strongly recommend starting out with a variable voltage battery. If you know where to look they are roughly the same price as one you can't adjust. Being able to adjust the volts gives a much better vaping experience, in my opinion. Depending on the type of clearomizer, you can turn the volts up or down to match it. For example, if you get a cheap clearomizer you may need to turn it up to get a good hit, whereas if you have a dual coil clearomizer you can keep it around the 3.7 to 4.0 voltage range.
I strongly recommend starting with an ego style battery. Many people are confused with what ego actually means. They think it is the brand. The definition of ego in relation to ecigarettes is: eGo - A style of electronic cigarette that utilizes the 510 threads and allows one to use 510 components but with a much larger battery. Many people feel this is one of the superior models of e-cigs available. I would have to agree with this!
Now the big question...Where to buy? Having done tons of research I have come to the following conclusion...BUY ONLINE! And yes, I did yell this. I strongly suppport the local brick and mortar shops but unless you can find a good deal (under $30) for a variable voltage, at least 900 mah ecig, online is the place to buy. There are two main batteries I recommend. The ego-C twist and the Vision Spinner.
You can find a starter pack on Ebay, Fasttech or Newegg with either of these batteries for $18.99 to $29.99. These same kits can cost anywhere from $39.99 to $99.99 at a local B&M. Just by googling these two battery types I came up with tons of affordable options.
These prices were for an 1100 mAh battery. These kits should include everything you need to get started (battery, clearomizer, charger, case) except for the ejuice. Can you say WOW!
In conclusion don't get overwhelmed by all the techno babble that seems to come from another universe!
Keep it simple....battery+tank+eliquid=vape..easy math;)
